The American New Wave
The American New Wave is my paramount thesis, an extended investigation of the condition and psyche of the post-COVID youth, in a period marked by increasing polarization in U.S. media and politics. The profile of a generation who came to maturity after the hope-forward era of early 2010s American politics.
The modern youth culture is one detailed by hopelessness. In this environment, the movement reaches ever closer to complete absurdism. An ideology sure in its own demise is one ready to risk everything for enjoyment, the search for beauty, and the value of friendship and adventure.
